Just October, Special November

Uncategorizedadmin, September 24, 2010 @ 9:54 am

Friend-Raising SundayThe worship planning team has done its job setting the pace for our upcoming worship experiences. In the month of October all sermon scriptures are taken from the Gospel of Luke and it might be a good idea to take some personal time and read through this book which can easily be done in a month. All the Sermon titles begin on the word “Just…” and will focus on both Justice and Simplification. In the month of November every Sunday is unique: Friend-Raising Sunday (11/7), Stewardship Sunday (11/14) and Thanksgiving Sunday (11/21) finish up the Liturgical Year. Welcome back!

We are thrilled to be able to be with these girls as they grow in confidence and character through all Girl Scouts has to offer. International Day of Prayer and Action for Human Habitat

Uncategorizedadmin, September 16, 2010 @ 6:25 pm

Habitat for Humanity of Utah CountyThis Sunday evening, September 19, at 6:30 there will be the Habitat Annual Day of Prayer. This will start at 6:30 at our church. Please plan to attend this event.
The International Day of Prayer and Action for Human Habitat, observed on the third Sunday in September, is a time when the entire Habitat for Humanity community is urged to come together in prayer for those in need of shelter. Through prayer, Habitat for Humanity continues to make a dramatic difference in the lives of people around the world. Many volunteers are drawn to this ministry after hearing God’s call and seeking God’s guidance through prayer. Other prayers are answered when families and communities grow in the shelter of God’s grace. The hurdles of funding and building homes are overcome through the miracles of prayer.
