Happy Halloween

Sunday happens to be Halloween and there will be pot luck after church.
Please bring your favorite Halloween or fall dish.
There will also be an opportunity for the children to trick or treat around the church. Children, please bring your costumes and a trick or treat bag.


Reformation Day at BYU

The BYU German Club is excited to announce their upcoming activity in recognition of Reformationstag (Oct. 31):  On Oct. 28 from 7-8pm Reverend Mirjam Haas-Melchior from the Provo Community United Church of Christ will deliver a lecture on Martin Luther. The room scheduled for the lecture is B-190 of the Joseph F. Smith Building (JFSB). Reverend Haas is a German native who moved to the U.S. just a couple of years ago. The lecture will be primarily in English and is open to the public.


John Nilsen on October 24th

On October 24th John Nilsen is going to perform at our church starting at 3pm. Admission is free, a free will offering is accepted. Access Sunday and Disabilities Awareness

This Sunday, October 10, we commemorate Access Sunday and Disabilities Awareness. Cristina Pitts is ADA Specialist/Outreach Coordinator at the Central Utah Center for Independent Living. During our worship service at 10.30 she will provide us with insight into the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and her ministry in Provo.

Neighbors in Need + Day of German Unity

Join us for a neighbors in need Service and dinner. The service will start at 6pm and the dinner at 6:30. The menu will be soup, bread and dessert. The price for the dinner will be $5.00 plus a can of food for the food bank. Neighbors in Need (NIN) is a special mission offering of the UCC that supports ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States. One-third of NIN funds support the Council for American Indian Ministry (CAIM). Two-thirds of the offering is used by the UCC’s Justice and Witness Ministries (JWM) to support a variety of justice initiatives, advocacy efforts, and direct service projects.

October 3rd, also happens to be the Day of German Unity. A good time to get together for Germans and people that are interested in German history, culture and language. The devotional that night will take us on a trip from St. Nicholas Church in Leipzig, to the Beatles, to the Mühlenberg family. Please RSVP at Germans in Salt Lake City
