In case you are still looking for a good New Year’s resolution, here is one for you: Read the bible daily this year. To support you in that we encourage the use of the Daily Reading Plan by the American Bible Society. The daily load is only about a half book page. You can do it! And in order to keep you going there are several tools available:
Daily Bible Reading on facebook and twitter shoot the daily text to you in no time. You can also sign up for a daily email. Maybe you want to print the plan and use a book.
Anyway the biggest help our congregation can offer is a support group:

Provo Tabernacle Fire

Uncategorizedadmin, December 17, 2010 @ 11:55 am

Provo Tabernacle FireMembers and friends of Provo Community United Church of Christ are shocked learning about the Provo Tabernacle Fire:

  • - Mike Talbot took this photo
  • - Kathy Beebe Kurtz shares some of her memories: “Wow, the Provo Tabernacle is on fire.  So many memories of community concerts at this place. What a loss. The Provo Community Church choir sang here many times. Saw Thurl Bailey concert there. New Year’s Eve concerts and more. So sad.”
  • - The Rev. Daniel Haas spent the morning on the phone with LDS and Provo City Officials to see how his congregation could provide practical help during this disaster.
  • - The interfaith community came out with the following statement: “As members of the Utah Valley Ministerial Association, we are deeply saddened by the Provo Tabernacle Fire.  This beautiful and historic building in the heart of our community has provided many opportunities for people of varying faiths to come together in celebration of religious freedom and love.  We express our condolences to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, its members, and the missionaries that serve so diligently to maintain this miraculous building.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole community during this sad time.”
