National Day of Prayer

National Day of Prayer was a wonderful event, this year combined with Orem’s Summerfest, held at the UVU Library Auditorium.  Keynote speaker was Dean Jackson, friend to PCCUCC, giving a thoughtful and inspriational message of acceptance of others, choosing to see and celebrate what we have in common with others around us, instead of getting hung up on our differences.

The Provo Interfaith Choir, led by Dave Lewis and including members of our congregation, performed four music selections including a rousing arrangement of Battle Hymn of the Republic, followed by the call to be a better person with Have I Done Any Good?.  The toe tapping I Will Follow Him had the choir and audience moving.  The program concluded with the inspirational Climb E’vry Mountain encourging us to follow our dreams.
